Treats and Lessons Learned
Brandon loved all the candy and sweets we had around Christmas this year. We often found him with hershey kiss wrappers all over the couch and a guilty look on his face. After being put in time out a few times (and fighting every minute of it), he got the idea--until one day when he couldn't resist the urge to get into the candy. Right after indulging, he quietly walked over to the stairs and sat down, telling me that he got into the candy so he needed to sit in time out. I was shocked and amazed that he sat there the whole time without complaint. We're not really sure which lesson was learned; to not get into the candy or don't underestimate your kid. At least we're not finding anymore candy wrappers anymore.
