Speak up, please!

IMG_5790_web2

I lost my voice today.  I don’t remember ever losing my voice before now.  My kids didn’t know what to think of me this morning as I was trying to get everyone out the door to school on time.  There was a lot of “what?” and “what’s wrong with your voice?” going on.  I couldn’t even explain to them why because they couldn’t hear or understand me anyway.  I don’t think it would be so bad either, except I had my doctor’s appointment today and had some questions for him about my upcoming glucose test.  That was an interesting conversation, to say the least!  The only time I ever remember losing my voice was in junior high when I didn’t actually lose it, I just pretended to because I didn’t want the teacher to call on me.  It didn’t take long for me to forget about it and get caught by the teacher 20 minutes into the class.  That is all the (fake) experience I have on the subject.  Any advice in this regard would be greatly appreciated!

As far as the picture goes, I did a practice photo shoot with Caleb yesterday for his birthday coming up next week.  I thought this one was funny because I had to bribe him with skittles to smile.  I got the smile, for sure.  Green teeth and all!

Have a happy weekend!

Enjoy it! It hardly ever happens, so make the most of it! (whatever that means!) I like that you faked it. Just what a kid would do!

I loved this story, can't see you faking it, you little mischief maker. Hope your glucose test goes well.....is this the first of the 3 hour?

I love when people lose their voice! It sounds so sexy! :) But I never lose mine... Ask Jaime! It seems like she loses hers a lot.

Such a funny story! Somehow it just doesn't sound like something you would do :) So sorry you lost your voice. Drink some warm water with a little honey and lemon in it. It will help. Love Caleb's smile - candy works wonders, doesn't it?

Thanks for the advice, Whit!

Shayne, sexy, really?!?!

Jennica, this is actually the 3rd glucose test that I've taken with just this pregnancy. 2nd 3 hour. Oh, the joys!
